Few shots taken during a trip to Vijaywada. First one is the Chennai Rajdhani entering Krishna Canal station after crossing the Krishna river bridge in Vijayawada, second one shows WAG9 loco with a BCNA rake waiting for my Janashatabdi express to cross some where on the outskirts of Chennai and the third one is a shot of the Janashatabdi express i was travelling in.

WAG 9

My favourite loco the WAG 9 - the power house of Indian railway. The best thing I like about the WAG9 is the power and also that he is not selfish, it gives back a part of what it consumes. WAG9 has regenerative braking system that produces electricity which is fed back so that it ca be used again. It also has one of the moser operator/driver friendly cabin in IR

My passion for trains

I am a great fan of trains, especially the locomotives. I dedicate my blog to my passion. The name of my blog pgt2mas stands for Palakkad (PGT) to Chennai (MAS).

I am Rahul Nayar and my home town is Palakkad in Kerala, a sleepy little town which goes to sleep around 8 in the night and my adopted home town is Chennai. My only doubt that still persists is whether Chennapattinam has adopted me????
